Job Description Summary / TWC Summary

The College of Science Engineering and Technology at Texas Southern University is accepting applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Aviation Science Management, who is competent in instructing students with an active research agenda. The ideal candidate will possess a terminal degree (Ph.D.) with an emphasis in Aviation Management, from a regionally accredited university, or the appropriate industry experience as outlined below. This is a 9-month tenure track position with teaching responsibilities at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels.Essential Duties Summary

  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Aviation Science
  • Conduct research that is presentable at professional academic conferences and acceptable for publication in referred academic journals
  • Active participation in departmental, school and university committees.
  • Service to one’s profession and the surrounding community.
  • Advise and mentor students
  • Other job-related duties as assigned

% FTE: 1.0

Hiring Range: $57,600.00 – $74,880.00

Education

Ph.D. in Aviation Management/Related Field from a regionally accredited university or Aviation Degree with a minimum of fifteen years of aviation industry experienceRequired Licensing/Certification
