Job Summary
The Department of Management and Information Systems in the Mike Cottrell College of Business (MCCB) at the University of North Georgia (UNG) invites applicants for the position of Visiting Faculty Member in International Business and Business Strategy beginning with the Fall 2025 semester. The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate courses on multiple UNG campuses. There may be an opportunity to teach in the graduate program as well.

Responsibilities

  • Use innovative teaching and learning techniques to provide high-quality international business, business strategy, and management courses.
  • Engage in significant and sustained scholarship related to international business and business strategy.
  • Engage with the business community to further the goals of the Mike Cottrell College of Business (e.g., connecting students to potential employers).
  • Participate as an active, contributing member to the service activities of the College.

Required Qualifications

  • An earned doctorate degree in an area with a primary focus on international business and/or business strategy, preferably from an AACSB-accredited institution, required at the time of hire.
  • An ABD nearing completion will be considered with documentation of degree completion.
  • Recent substantive and significant scholarship relevant to international business, business/management strategy, and related fields.
  • Preference will be given to those applicants who have a record of excellent teaching and scholarship in the areas of international business and business strategy and commitment to business education.
  • Preference will also be given to those with industry experience relevant to international business and business strategy areas

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Knowledge of teaching and learning practices
  • Knowledge of theoretical and applied concepts of international business and business strategy
  • Passion for working with students to develop their skills and expertise
  • Ability to demonstrate best practices of written and oral communication
  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team
