Job Details:
The Townsend School of Music at Mercer University seeks a specialist in voice and opera production as a Visiting Faculty of Voice for the 2025-26 academic year.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include teaching applied voice, opera workshop, and related vocal courses. Rank is dependent upon qualifications of the selected candidate. This is a one-year visiting appointment with the possibility of renewal.

The Townsend School of Music is looking for a person committed to the education of vocal students in studio voice and opera studies. The program prepares young vocal artists who have a passion for vocal performance, operatic productions, and choral music ensemble. Candidates must be able to demonstrate proper vocal techniques by way of classroom instruction and public performances.

Qualifications:

An earned doctorate from an accredited university/college is preferred, but ABD will be considered at the rank of Instructor. Collegiate teaching experience through directing opera productions and applied voice are required. Good administrative skills are necessary.
