Job description

The Curry College Department of Visual & Performing Arts is accepting applications for an adjunct instructor with the demonstrated ability to teach individual (applied) Percussion (drum set) lessons. Instructors must be available to teach weekly lessons in person throughout the entire semester as assigned.

Instructors should be comfortable working with all levels of students from beginner level to those with considerable prior experience. Teaching assignments are offered on a semester basis and may be immediate or as needed.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in music performance, pedagogy, or related field. (Terminal degree preferred).
  • Demonstrated successful teaching experience in an applied music setting.
  • Available to teach weekly lessons throughout the entire semester.
  • Able to teach all levels of students from beginners to those with considerable experience.
  • Prior experience working Canvas is ideal.

Employment in this position is contingent upon the successful completion of all required pre-employment background checks. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required for all faculty.
